How it works for mechanics

The price is agreed first. Customers see the price and approve it before any work starts.
You never handle payment. Customers pay through the app after the job, so you don't collect cash or a card.
How you're paid. You keep 75% of the labor, parts are paid back in full, and tips and the trip fee are yours. Your payout shows on each job in your dashboard.
Jobs are sent to you. We send you jobs near you as they come in. You can accept or decline each one, and there's no minimum.
You're independent. You're an independent contractor. You bring your own tools and transportation, and you handle your own taxes.
Insurance is required. You carry your own general liability insurance (at least $1,000,000 per occurrence) and your own auto insurance. Garage-keepers coverage is strongly recommended. Mechanic Dasher doesn't provide coverage for your work.
Every mechanic is reviewed. After you sign up, you finish a short application and a 10-question test. We review each application before approving you.
