Mechanic Dasher is run by a working mechanic. It started in Fort Worth, Texas in 2026 as DFW's own mobile mechanic platform, built by someone who gets it: a dead battery or a flat tire shouldn't cost you your whole day.

Why I started it: I'm a mechanic who recently moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Over time I noticed this is a busy metro that needs a lot more mobile mechanics, and I've taken on plenty of jobs all across the Metroplex. A mobile mechanic service felt like the right idea.

Here's our promise on every job: you see the price before any work starts, you approve it, and you pay through the app afterward. The mechanic never asks you for cash or a card, and we review every mechanic before they can take a job.

🔧 Who actually shows up — you, or a contractor?

Mechanic Dasher is a platform that connects you with independent mechanics — not a shop that dispatches its own employees. Every mechanic is reviewed by our team before they can take a job, and you can rate them after every job.

⚡ Do you work on EVs, or just gas/diesel?

We cover gas, diesel, and EV vehicles. If you're not sure whether your issue is something we can handle on-site, tell us the make/model when you request a repair and we'll confirm before a mechanic is dispatched.

📍 Where do you actually cover?

Right now we serve Dallas, Fort Worth & surrounding areas, with more cities planned. Enter your address when you request a repair and we'll confirm we can reach you before matching you with a mechanic.

⏱️ How fast can someone get to me?

Arrival time depends on where you are and when a mechanic is available. Your mechanic confirms an arrival time with you before heading over, so you're never left guessing. A tire change usually takes 20–30 minutes from arrival to drive-away. Need it today? Choose “As soon as possible” on the request form.

🛡️ Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Every repair comes with a 90-day labor warranty. If the same repair fails because of the work, your mechanic comes back and redoes it with no labor charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's own warranty. A new, different problem, parts you supplied yourself, and damage from a crash or from ignoring warning signs are not covered. Contact us if something isn't right.

💵 What does it cost, and when do I pay?

There's no fee to request a mechanic. Your mechanic confirms the price — labor and parts — before any work begins, and you approve it first. Parts are billed at cost plus a 15% handling fee, shown as its own line on your estimate. Signing up is free. When you press Request repair, you add a card and agree to our terms. Your card is never charged for a repair until you approve the final price. If you cancel after your mechanic is already on the way, a flat $35 cancellation fee applies (details).
