🚨 If you are ever in immediate danger, call 911 first — then report it to us through the app.
For customers
- Every mechanic on Mechanic Dasher creates a real account and goes through admin review before taking jobs.
- Look for ✅ "License," "Insured," and "Background checked" badges on your mechanic's profile — these mean Mechanic Dasher has personally verified that documentation.
- Keep all communication and payment inside the app. Never pay a mechanic in cash or outside the app — it removes your protection and your record of the transaction.
- If something feels off before or during a job, use the "🚨 Report a safety concern" link in your messages or dashboard — it goes straight to Mechanic Dasher's owner.
- Rate your mechanic after every completed job. Your honest feedback keeps the whole platform trustworthy.
For mechanics
- Confirm the customer's name and job details in the app match who you're meeting before starting any work.
- Keep all communication and payment inside the app — it's what protects you if a customer disputes a charge.
- Never work on additional parts/labor beyond what was originally requested without a signed estimate approving it first.
- If a situation ever feels unsafe, you're not obligated to complete the job — leave, then report it through the app.
- Keeping your license, insurance, and background check up to date and verified helps you get more jobs — customers can see your verified badges.
How Mechanic Dasher reviews reports
- Every safety report is emailed to Mechanic Dasher's owner the moment it's submitted.
- Reports stay visible on the job in the admin dashboard until marked resolved.
- Repeated or serious reports can result in a mechanic's account being suspended or removed from the platform.
